Thirstwear
Thirsty people long for fresh, clean drinking water. We have been to Ethiopia and to Brazil. We have seen the effects of contaminated drinking water. We have looked into the eyes of and seen the smiles of people who have tasted fresh, clean water for the first time in their lives. They know that an end to constant illness is possible. They know that most, if not all, of their "stomach issues" can be cleared up with fresh, clean drinking water. Personally, I talked with a "grandpa" who through tears in his eyes shared how excited he was that his grandchildren would never have to drink dirty water again, and that they would have a chance to get rid of dysentery, diarrhea, and dehydration for the first time in their family's history.
The pictures below resulted from a trip to Brazil through which we were able to help install 60 water filters in remote homes and villages along the Amazon River. Water there is plentiful... and not healthy to drink. But the filters we installed have changed that and continue to change that for more and more people all the time. And now, Buy a Shirt, Save a Life will help fund fresh, clean drinking water around the world for the most impoverished of people groups.
